14.4ft Double Telescopic Ladder With Aluminium Rings

I (70 kg) have since spring 18 the ladder Worhan 4.4 m with aluminum rings and I am very satisfied with occasional private use (cutting trees) so far. I used them both as a stepladder and as a ladder. At 16 kg it is relatively heavy, but it can be transported in a small car and can be used very flexibly. With some technical understanding, you can cope well with the ladder. Take off: With loosened Velcro strap, all segments can be pulled out at any time. Only when fully extended, each segment locks automatically. This can lead to the problem that segments unintentionally undress when they fall under draft. This can be safely encountered by holding the unpulled segments on one leg with the included Velcro strap and leaving the unextended segments at the bottom with a stable cord or alternatively on the other leg and then sitting on this leg. Thus, he is loaded with body weight and can not undress by himself. The only drawback in this case is the somewhat larger step that must be taken at the very bottom. Insert: Here you should proceed carefully and never unlock the ladders vertically. Because then the individual segments, burdened by the overhead weight of the ladder, rushing down quite violently. This entails increased risk of injury and wear on the ladder. It is better to move the ladder to a 30° position opposite the ground and then unlock them and push them together. As a stepladder, you should open the two legs to at least 90° and then push the individual legs together segmentally. This can be done without any additional helpers alone. - Before inserting, you should free the individual segments of dirt, otherwise this could lead to tightness. Lock the thigh joint: The thigh joint can only be set when the securing wire bracket is spread. In order to install a further safety against unwanted setting, I tie this bracket to the top rungs with a cord after setting. Wearing ladder: For me, the ladder can be better carried if I take it on my shoulder with the top segment pulled out and at the same time grab it with my arm and hold it with my hand on the bottom rungs, where it has a carrying handle. Thus, the weight is distributed over the hand and shoulder. When used, the ladder bends a little. But I always felt safe. At the bottom of the ladder is the following imprint: EN 131- 1:2007 + A 1:2011 EN 131- 2:2010 + A 1:2012 EN 131- 3:2007 Worhan Troisdorf is printed as the manufacturer. The delivery came ultra-fast. Only blemish: The ladder is pushed together at 93 cm slightly larger than indicated. Conclusion: Recommended purchase
